About

A family notebook, written slowly between the islands and the countryside.

Salvia is a family notebook. I am Julien, father of two, and since 2019 I have been writing down our journeys, our rituals and the small things we do not want to forget.

We live in Saint-Malo, a few streets from the sea. We travel slowly, from the Greek islands to the villages of Provence, often with too much luggage and never enough snacks. The children have opinions about everything, and many of the best stories here are theirs.

What you will find here

  • Travel: places seen at a child’s eye level, with the stops that made them worth it.
  • Childhood: what growing up outdoors teaches all of us.
  • Everyday: rituals, recipes and the small things that hold a week together, with my friend Claire.
