The beach walk we take every Sunday

Same beach, same time, never the same walk. A small family tradition, explained.

Every Sunday at five, we walk the same stretch of beach: from the old ramparts to the rocks and back. It takes an hour. It has never been the same walk twice.

How it started

It began as a way to tire the children before bedtime. It became the moment of the week when everyone talks, because walking side by side makes talking easier than sitting face to face.

What we bring

A bag for treasures, a towel for the inevitable wave, and nothing else. No snacks, no screens, no destination.

What it gave us

A collection of shells, a list of questions we could not answer, and a habit the children now defend fiercely when we suggest skipping it.
